This project responds to the request received by 海角社区-EGOV from Telecom Argentina, S. A. for conducting a study to assess and analyse new solutions, their context, limits, and challenges concerning digital transformation opportunities for the security forces and emergency services in the context of a big metropolis. The survey will help Telecom Argentina, S. A. to advise their potential application to the city of Buenos Aires.


This study aims to gather worldwide expertise on digital transformation opportunities for the security forces and emergency services in extensive urban areas, the associated technologies and application context. It will produce a survey study addressing the following main issues:
1. Technological solutions: concrete experiences, challenges, limits;
2. Adoption processes: implementation and deployment contexts, integration with other infrastructures, timeframe, social impact, etc.;
3. Ecosystem: key roles and actors (suppliers, general public, security forces, municipalities, communication infrastructure, telecommunication players).
 

Activities

  • Review global studies on urban security digital transformation.

  • Analyse solutions, adoption processes, and stakeholders.

  • Conduct surveys and interviews with key players.

  • Compile survey and interview data for analysis.

  • Create actionable recommendations for Telecom Argentina.

  • Organise Report Presentation Seminar on findings.
