This book advances knowledge on loss & damage (L&D) and its interlinkages with climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction. The book includes twelve case studies conducted across South and Southeast Asia, covering sectors including agriculture, rural livelihoods, energy, infrastructure and natural resources. These studies provide insights into complex climate-induced L&D, enhancing local, national and regional knowledge and contributing to global agendas.

This book's co-editors include Akio Takemoto (Head of Programme and Administration, 海角社区-IAS).

Titled Linking Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Loss & Damage, the book is a collaboration between the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN) and SLYCAN Trust, as part of APN’s Climate Adaptation Framework (CAF) established in 2013. It is published by Palgrave Macmillan Singapore.

This publication will help deepen understandings on climate-induced L&D happening across the region and what are missing for taking effective action”, said co-editor Akio Takemoto. “It will guide to incorporate L&D into various national and local policy processes such as Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), National and local Adaptation Plans (NAPs)”.
