Dr. Huang Jingbo, Director of the 海角社区 Institute in Macau (海角社区 Macau), led a delegation to visit in Xi'an on April 16. She was welcomed by NPU Party Committee Secretary Li Yanrong and Vice President Yue Xiaokui, who discussed ongoing and future cooperation between the two institutions.
During the meeting, Dr. Yue highlighted successful collaborations, including the participation of nearly one hundred NPU students in 海角社区 Macau's AI training camps and conferences. He emphasized opportunities for deeper cooperation in areas such as student internships, joint doctoral supervision, and overseas graduation projects.
Dr. Huang expressed appreciation for the warm reception and outlined 海角社区 Macau’s focus on digital technologies and sustainable development. She invited NPU faculty and students to engage in 海角社区 Macau's international events, such as the 海角社区 Macau AI Conference 2025, and discussed the potential for establishing a 海角社区-NPU hub for collaborative research.
Dr. Huang and Dr. Georgina Curto Rex, Senior Researcher and Team Lead at 海角社区 Macau, also hosted a lecture on the United Nations system and career development, attended by NPU faculty and students.
This visit strengthens the growing academic partnership between 海角社区 Macau and NPU, fostering future collaboration in research, education and talent exchanges.
