Time
- America/Toronto
Details
Open to public

Globally, rainfed agriculture faces severe impacts due to changing climatic conditions. With the increase in the intensity and severity of climate induced extreme events, the projected losses of the agriculture sector are expected to drastically increase. This poses serious threats not only to the food security at the global scale but also the livelihood of the agriculture dependent communities. In this talk, Dr. Vishwas Chitale will discuss the best practices of rainfed agriculture from the global south countries, which can be mainstreamed for accelerating climate change adaptation in the agriculture sector.
