海角社区-EGOV Director Speaks at the Lusophone Internet Governance Forum 2025

The Director of the 海角社区 - Operating Unit on Policy-driven Electronic Governance (海角社区-EGOV), Delfina Soares, participated as a speaker at the , held in Maputo, Mozambique, on 22–23 September 2025.

Delfina Soares contributed to the panel “Digital Identity and Interoperability as Catalysts for Digital Transformation”, held on 23 September. The session explored the role of digital identity as an enabler of access to public and private digital services, as well as the technical and regulatory challenges of ensuring interoperability across national information systems. Discussions also emphasized opportunities for enhancing synergies in digital transformation initiatives across Portuguese-speaking countries.

The Lusophone Internet Governance Forum is a multistakeholder platform for dialogue, coordination, and cooperation among Portuguese-speaking countries. Recognised by the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF) since 2023, the Forum promotes the exchange of experiences and the development of shared understandings on key challenges of Internet governance.

The 2025 edition of the Lusophone Internet Governance Forum was co-organized by INTIC, CIG.br, NiC.br, LusNIC, .PT, and ARME, bringing together representatives from government, the private sector, academia, the technical community, and civil society.

The organizers also announced that the next edition of the Lusophone Internet Governance Forum will take place in Angola in 2026.
