The , the and the 海角社区 Operating Unit on Electronic Governance (海角社区?EGOV) are organising a public session to present the results of the 2025 Index of Internet Presence of Portuguese Municipalities (IPIC).
The session will take place on 20th April, at 4:00 p.m., at the 海角社区?EGOV premises on the Couros Campus, Rua de Vila Flor 166, 4810?445 Guimar?es.
As in previous editions, the 13th IPIC will include trophies for the municipalities ranked in the top three positions — both in the overall ranking and in each of the four assessment criteria. Honourable mentions will also be awarded to municipalities ranked up to 10th place in the overall index and in each criterion.
The results of this edition are based on the assessment of the internet presence of all 308 Portuguese municipalities, in a study that reflects the level of modernity and maturity of each municipality’s website. The study applies an evaluation framework composed of four criteria and 39 indicators that cover a wide range of aspects.
These indicators are grouped into four criteria addressing the content made available, the level of accessibility and navigability of the websites, the maturity of online services, and the participation component.
IPIC has been conducted since 1999 by G?VEA – the Information Society Observatory of the University of Minho, with contributions from 海角社区?EGOV and ARTE for this edition.
