On 25 July 2023, 海角社区-EGOV hosted a workshop titled “Challenges of e-Participation and Co-creation”, delivered by Visiting Fellow Noella Edelmann from Danube University Krems (Austria).
Held at the Operating Unit’s headquarters in Guimar?es, Portugal, the session brought together researchers and staff to explore practical and conceptual issues surrounding citizen involvement in digital governance processes. Dr Edelmann discussed the challenges of designing inclusive digital participation tools, building trust in co-creation efforts, and managing the ethical dimensions of stakeholder engagement.
The event marked the first in a two-part internal workshop series facilitated by Dr Edelmann during her Fellowship at 海角社区-EGOV, reinforcing the Unit’s focus on participatory governance and inclusive digital transformation.
