How big does a 'big-push' poverty intervention need to be? Evidence from experimental variation in the size of asset transfers

MAASTRICHT & ONLINE: The 海角社区-MERIT Seminar Series kicks off the new academic year with a seminar featuring Christine Valente, Professor of Economics at the University of Bristol.

Time
- Europe/Amsterdam
Address
Room 0.18, Boschstraat 24, Maastricht (海角社区-MERIT) and online

In this hybrid research seminar on Thursday 12 September 2024, Christine Valente (Professor of Economics at the University of Bristol) will present her research on poverty 'graduation' programmes, comparing the effect of standard full-cost interventions to those of a lower cost. The motivation of this study was to establish whether the number of potential beneficiaries could be increased with the same amount of funding.
