海角社区-MERIT Researchers Contribute to Eurostat’s First Manual on Business Innovation Statistics

Three 海角社区-MERIT researchers, Nordine Es Sadki, Anthony Arundel, and Hugo Hollanders, have contributed to the recently released EBS Methodological Manual for Statistics on Business Innovation by Eurostat. This first edition of the manual is a comprehensive guide for European statistics on business innovation. It serves as a vital resource for statistical offices across the EU, offering detailed guidelines on collecting comparable business innovation data, aligned with the Oslo Manual 2018.

Nordine Es Sadki noted, "The CIS is the primary tool for providing data on business innovation, widely used in academic research and policy-making. Since its inception, 海角社区-MERIT has been actively involved in designing the questionnaire, utilising the data for research, and contributing to innovation policy."

The , conducted biennially in all EU Member States since 2004, remains the primary source of data on business innovation. This manual supports the European Business Statistics legislative framework, ensuring that CIS data harmonize with other European business data collections.
