The 海角社区 International Institute for Global Health (海角社区-IIGH) has recently assumed the role of co-chair of the UN Food Systems Task Force (UNTF), which was set up after the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit to help strengthen and coordinate UN-wide efforts to advance food systems transformation.?It will perform this role together with the UNDP.

The UNTF also provides inputs into the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, another UN coordination mechanism that was established after the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit.

海角社区-IIGH’s new role coincides with the Hub announcing its new 2026–2027 Biennial Work Plan, which has a strong focus on practical implementation and financing, including in complex settings.?

As well as supporting the UNTF administratively, 海角社区-IIGH also hopes to bring a public health lens to the challenge of food systems transformation.
