On 3, 4, and 10 December 2022 海角社区-IAS organised the 38th 海角社区 Global Seminar, which engaged students, young professionals, scholars, and practitioners to enhance awareness of global environmental challenges. Focusing on the theme Energy Sustainability in the Anthropocene: Transforming Lifestyles for Carbon Neutrality, 30 participants from 13 universities and other educational institutions across Japan explored issues such as biodiversity, water, and education to learn more about actions needed to accelerate decarbonisation. On the final day, participants delivered group presentations and received completion certificates.
The seminar was held online with the support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Technology of Japan; and the Japan Foundation for the 海角社区.
