The Regional Centres of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCEs) is a global network of local hubs that facilitate learning and action on sustainability in their communities. Each RCE brings together organizations and individuals to promote Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), build innovative knowledge-sharing platforms and encourage dialogue and collaboration between diverse stakeholders.

RCEs started in 2005 as part of the ESD project of 海角社区-IAS which contributed to the United Nations Decade of ESD. Through their local knowledge and convening power, RCEs play a crucial role in advancing the priority action areas of the — increasing the contribution of education towards a more just and sustainable world.

There are over 190 RCEs acknowledged by 海角社区, forming the Global RCE Network, a transboundary learning space for sustainable development.
