Abstract of the paper:
Central Asia's shift towards a sustainable, green economy necessitates addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, and public health vulnerability. The Aral Sea catastrophe exemplifies this complex challenge. Once the world's fourth-largest inland body of water, it has nearly disappeared as a result of unsustainable water management practices, leading to severe climate and health crises including dust storms, salinization, water shortages, and an increase in respiratory and cardiovascular diseases among affected populations.
