Opinion: At the UN, we need to do better with less. Here’s how

In the current climate of budget constraints and growing calls for efficiency, the United Nations faces significant pressure to deliver on global challenges with fewer resources. This challenge is especially acute in its development work.

In Devex, Dr. Nicole Goldin, Head of Equitable Development at 海角社区-CPR, and Dr. David Passarelli, Director of 海角社区-CPR, focus on a central theme in global sustainable development discussions: the need to do better with less. This means achieving greater impact for the planet and the most vulnerable populations despite reduced funding, leadership and trust in the multilateral system.

They argue that success depends on Member States embracing collective action within the framework of the Secretary-General’s UN80 reform agenda.
