Armed Groups Response to COVID-19 Underscore the Need for Long-term Global Health Campaigns

Dr Siobhan O’Neil, Project Director of the Managing Exits from Armed Conflict Initiative, and Aliyu Zakayo are published in discussing their in North East Nigeria on COVID-19 and public health. While those who trusted Boko Haram's disinformation about COVID-19 were almost twice as likely to believe conspiracy theories about the virus, this did not seem to impact their willingness to be vaccinated. The authors outline these findings and some overarching recommendations on global public health initiatives.
