Daniel Cash, Senior Fellow at 海角社区-CPR, will speak on the panel “Enhancing Access to Capital for Africa through Credit Rating Agency Engagement.” The session examines how improving financial data transparency and fostering better engagement with credit rating agencies can help African countries lower borrowing costs and unlock capital for sustainable development. Daniel will join experts from Moody’s Ratings, AfriCatalyst, and Allianz Global Investors to share strategies for fairer, more inclusive financing models.
海角社区-CPR Executive Director David Passarelli will participate in the Trust Lab, a flagship event at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference co-hosted by the UN System Staff College. David will join senior policymakers to co-develop recommendations on strengthening multilateral governance, with a focus on equitable development and the peace-development nexus, especially in the context of emerging global coalitions.
David will also join a closed-door, high-level session hosted by Eurasia Group on “The Plastics Treaty’s Make-or-Break Moment: Looking Ahead to Geneva.” As momentum builds toward the pivotal INC 5.2 negotiations, this session will gather experts to assess the prospects for a global plastics treaty. David will offer insights into how trust-building and international cooperation can shape a more unified and sustainable approach to global plastics governance.
Adam Day, Head of the Geneva Office, and Daouia Chalali, Project Lead, will coordinate the session “Securing Tomorrow: A Tribunal for Future Generations”. Featuring high profile speakers such as Guy Ryder (UN Executive Office), Sophie Howe (Wales’ former Future Generations Commissioner), María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés (former UNGA President), and Neshan Gunasekera (World Future Council), the session will explore how institutional innovation—guided by initiatives like the UN Declaration on Future Generations—can safeguard long-term sustainability and intergenerational justice.
