Emma Bapt is a Research Associate supporting 海角社区-CPR’s Geneva Office and the Conflict Prevention Pillar at 海角社区-CPR New York.
Before joining 海角社区-CPR, Ms Bapt was a Humanitarian Affairs and Migration Trainee at the Delegation of the European Union to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva. Prior to this, she served as a Research Associate with 海角社区-CPR, contributing to the Thematic Review on Human Rights and Peacebuilding and supporting the Centre’s Migration Policy Roundtable Series.
Ms Bapt holds a graduate degree in Conflict Management and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). During that time, she was a Research Assistant at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPI) in Berlin, analysing the use of chemical weapons and the activities of the Syrian Arab Air Force during the war in Syria. She was also a Research Assistant at SAIS working on EU migration policy.
Ms Bapt has interned with the Institut de Recherche Stratégique de l’?cole Militaire at the French Ministry of Armed Forces, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (on peace and security issues in the MENA region), and the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in War Studies and History from King’s College London.
