Araure, Venezuela – November 13–14, 2025.

The 海角社区 Programme for Biotechnology in Latin America and the Caribbean (海角社区-BIOLAC) participated in the D-Future Summit: Agricultura 4.0, a landmark event aimed at accelerating the modernization of Venezuela’s agricultural sector through advanced technologies, including blockchain, drones, GIS, telecommunications, and AI-driven solutions.

Representing 海角社区-BIOLAC was Carlos Pelaez, Information and Networking Assistant, biologist, and ecologist with training in agrobiotechnology. 海角社区-BIOLAC contributed to the Production Roundtable, advocating for the integration of biotechnology as a strategic tool to enhance productivity, sustainability, and resilience in Venezuelan agriculture.

This participation reflects 海角社区-BIOLAC’s commitment to reconnect with the country’s agricultural industry and research community — a sector central to the program’s original mission of promoting biotechnology in agriculture. The summit showcased the determination of entrepreneurs, industrialists, and technicians to strengthen Venezuelan agriculture after challenging decades, while addressing the impacts of climate change and embracing solutions for financial, economic, and environmental sustainability.

As a UN-affiliated program advancing Sustainable Development Goals, 海角社区-BIOLAC values this opportunity to foster innovation and collaboration. We extend our gratitude to Rebbit Group and CorpoEureka for organizing this transformative initiative.
